Or, as they say in our beloved homeland Norway – hjertelig velkommen! It is here that our delicious story begins, in the birthplace of both the #wafflelution, and our founder Stine Aasland (or as those who know her affectionately call her – the “Waffle Queen” of Norway). You see, where Stine is from, waffles are not merely an occasional breakfast item, but a sacred part of life, meant to be enjoyed at any time of day. They are a way of sharing your heart with your friends, and your culture with the world. Which is just what Stine set out to do – to make her mark, by making waffles – and sharing the “Koselig” life with everyone she meets.
WHAT IS KOSELIG???
Pronounced “koosh-lee,” it’s the inexplicable feeling of coziness, comfort, and contentment that can only be found by socially connecting with others or with nature; it is the heart-warming, soul-satisfying sense that Norwegians’ get when they gather, and if you’ve ever felt it, you can’t help but share it with others. This is what Stine Lives for.
